Huddy’s, formerly known as Hudson House in Redondo Beach, was opened in early 2008 by chefs Brooke Williamson and Nick Roberts, named after their newborn son, Hudson. For over 11 years, they built a neighborhood-focused restaurant rooted in good food, great cocktails, and a warm, welcoming vibe—quickly becoming a beloved South Bay staple.
In 2020, due to the challenges brought on by COVID-19, Brooke and Nick stepped away from the business. In a positive turn, their former Director of Operations, Kate Failor, stepped in to carry the torch and keep the spirit of Hudson House alive.
Now, in 2025, the restaurant enters a new chapter as Huddy’s—a name that honors its original inspiration while reflecting its fresh, beach-forward identity. With a laid-back surf shack vibe, the space now features curated art and photography from local Southern California artists, capturing the essence of coastal living.
Blending delicious food, crafted cocktails, and a vibrant, community-driven atmosphere, Huddy’s continues to be a local focused bar and restaurant—faithful to its roots, but ready for what’s next.
